Loretto Chapel and Glorieta

"Miracle staircase" of Loretto Chapel. Legend of carpenter who built the staircase with amazing tight spiral, then disappeared and no one knew who he was. So they call the builder St. Joseph after Jesus' carpenter father. The nuns requested later that the railing be added. Can you imagine going up and down this in a nun's habit without the railings?
